So I came into the office today and immediately noticed a brand new attractive display of what I thought was engineered flooring.

'This is a nice engineered floor,' I said to Mark.

'It's not engineered!' He replied, smiling,

'Then it's a really good laminate!' I told him, giving it a closer examination, admiring the quality.

'It's not laminate,' He replied, 'It's a brand new range of Vinyl Flooring!'

Now when someone mentions vinyl flooring to me, I immediately think of the old style floors in kitchens and bathrooms before tiles and wood took over. Remember the marble look?

Hello

I assume hello is the right way to start my first blog! Vision Flooring has decided start this blog to talk about our products and our special offers.

When I first joined the company, a wooden floor was a wooden floor! Pine was fine, oak was OK! I never knew that you could achieve so many variations from just one species. Take oak for example, as well as the many different grades such as prime, country and character, you can decide whether you want the knots left open or filled. And this is before you even begin to talk of finishes such as stains, coloured waxes and lacquers. At Vision Flooring, the floor you always dreamed of is achievable.

While Oak flooring is definitely the popular choice for most homes, other species are now gaining popularity. Woods such as Walnut with its beautiful markings, rich luxurious colour and natural sheen is a favourite of mine as is Zebrano which is shown in the photo is perfect if you want an original contemporary feel to your interior. The choice really is endless!
